About
The term "ex libris" is a Latin phrase meaning "from the library of" or "from the books of". In this case, the literal translation would be "From the Library of Tarot". I wrote the book as I was learning and studying tarot on my own. I put together a compendium of information so that I wouldn't have 6 books and a website open every time I did a card reading for myself.
The journal where I organized all of the info had the "ex libris" stamp on the cover, so it only made sense to call the completed work "Ex Libris Tarot". When I shared the book with others, they encouraged me to get it published, but I didn't want to turn it over to a publisher to cut up and piece out. It sat... and sat... and sat for a few years. Finally, I decided it wasn't all about the money, but about the idea behind it all. If I could learn from the book, then others could too.
I am offering it for free on this site. There is no reason to keep it put away waiting for the right opportunity to make money from it. The original intent of the book was for my own learning, and learning should never be withheld due to money or material matters. Knowledge is meant to be shared.
Please note that I will be posting future additions to the book, additional print materials - including "Personalities of the Tarot" that include a deeper understanding of the astrological influences within most cards of the tarot. I'm also working on a set of "learning cards" to make learning tarot THAT much easier, and I will be creating custom-made altar cloths and card pouches that will be available soon. Please check the Services section for more info.
Enjoy!
